A visit to the Ötzi Museum in Bolzano, an excursion to the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle near Merano, a nice shopping trip to the colorful markets or a wonderful panoramic hike on the nearby high plateaus leave nothing to be desired.
Discover the nearby hiking trails and castles, such as Hocheppan Castle or the ruins of Festenstein Castle, leaving your car at our house. Indulge in good traditional cuisine with a good glass of wine and South Tyrolean hospitality in the farm inns.
For the sports enthusiasts, Andrian offers tennis courts and a large outdoor swimming pool. The endless orchards and vineyards make cycling a very special experience. Well-developed cycle paths allow you to explore the whole area. You can rent bicycles directly at our farm.
The flowers in spring are enchanting. You are invited to cycle through the blossoming orchards and through the asparagus fields of the valley. Try some of the asparagus specialties and South Tyrol’s delicious asparagus wine.
Summer in the valley starts early – which will delight nature lovers as well as sun seekers. There are a lot of opportunities for sports like swimming, hiking, and mountaineering.
In autumn, the apple and grape harvests are the reward for the farmer’s effort and work in the orchards and vineyards. With great care the apples are brought in and on “Hofer” farm and a delicious apple juice is made. The wine is pressed in the wineries and delivered in early October, just in time for the traditional “Törggelen”. This is the right time when the “Nuie” (new wine) can be tasted together with typical South Tyrolean dishes and roast chestnuts.
Even winter has its charms. In the old towns, Christmas markets are set up for the Advent season. For winter sports enthusiasts, there is the possibility to enjoy different winter sports in the well-known and easily accessible skiing areas nearby.
